Public Health England publishes the Screening Tests For You and Your Baby booklet. This is given to all pregnant women and provides information about the screening tests offered during pregnancy and after birth.

We are currently reviewing and updating the booklet to include information about non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). This is a new test that will be introduced to the screening programme for Down’s, Edwards’ and Patau’s syndromes.

As part of the review process, we are asking people with experience of having a pregnancy affected by Down’s, Edwards’ or Patau’s syndromes to complete this short survey about the new booklet.

Please don’t worry if you’re unable to help. But we’d be very grateful if you can spare some time to give us your thoughts. The survey has 25 questions and will probably take around 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

Please read through the new section of the booklet on Down’s, Edwards’ and Patau’s syndromes (opens in new window) before continuing. If this link does not work, please email and we will email a PDF attachment of the new draft section to you.

We will treat all survey responses completely confidentially and your name/email address (if you choose to provide them) would never be included in any reports we produce on the results.

If you would like to find out more about the types of screening offered by the NHS, there's lots of information on NHS Choices.
